Usability Testing

What is Usability Testing?

We run usability research by asking participants to complete tasks with a given product to observe how they interact with it. We then identify and take note of where they encounter problems and experience confusion.

Types of usability testing include:
Two hands solving a Rubik's cube, showing problem discovery usability testing
Problem Discovery is the most common type of usability testing. It is used to uncover and fix usability issues.
Two classic cars parked in front of yellow garage doors, showing competitive comparison usability testing
Competitive Comparison is comparing a current product version to a competitor's version (or previous version) of a product.
Opened hand holding a vintage stopwatch, showing iterative usability testing
Iterative Testing is testing that happens as products go through design improvements to ensure success.
